I have been involved in fitness for as long as I can remember and have been in the industry as an instructor for the last 15 years. I have taught a variety over the years such as aerobics, step aerobics, circuits, Swiss ball, indoor cycling, Zumba, boxing and pilates. In recent years, despite loving music and dance, I have found a huge love and passion for pilates.
I think the constant challenge of pilates keeps people engaged due to the concentration and control required. Over the past 9 years of teaching mixed ability mat based pilates, I have witnessed huge improvements with people’s daily ailments and injury. People report playing golf or tennis again after years of giving up or daily physical jobs are suddenly manageable, this is very rewarding as a teacher! My experience has now expanded to specialise in reformer pilates, orthopaedic conditions and pre and post natal. It’s certainly a job I hope to teach for many years to come and welcome anybody to join me!
